Be grateful that I had to use the internet to look up something for my hisory class and was tempted to post. I really don't have much to say though, except some insight on The Prison.
I wore a black and white striped shirt today, with my dad's suspenders and skinny jeans and my new lovers. And as I walked out the door to go to The Prison, I thought to myself, "I hope they don't think I look like a mime." And what do you know? Two people, on separate occasions, said, though they respected the risk I was taking, that I did indeed look like a mime. They were my friends, however, so I provided them with my best mime impression: being completely silent and pretending to be stuck in a box. Needless to say, they were very amused. I happen to like mimes, because they convey their feelings without words, which is a great accomplishment in my eyes.
A few days ago my friend and I got into a discussion about the fact that The Prison shortened our lunch periods. We were joking that eventually they would resort to simply passing out a tiny ketchup cup full of exactly one brown M&M, shouting, in a very Dickens manner, "Come get your M&M and then get back to class." I joked that someone would politely ask for red instead of brown, and the furious lunch lady would scream, "We only have brown!" This led to an entire discussion about a school without color, where everyone is gray and black, but that's a different story. I imagined myself as the Oliver Twist of the student body, picking the shortest straw and nervously stepping up to the counter and asking innocently, in my Cockney accent, "Please, may I have someore?" Then, of course, I would be expelled and live a life of crime with a band of mischievous pick-pockets. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have time to eat three M&Ms. It's not like they're depriving us or anything.
Let me also say that I was saddened by the death of Steve Irwin. He was so full of life and was such a great personality. It is terrible to lose him, and I still cannot believe it happened.
